The twenty-four solar terms (jieqi) divide the solar year into twenty-four points marking changes in season, temperature and farming activity, from Minor Cold in January through the equinoxes and solstices to Major Cold at year's end. Enter any year and this tool lists the Gregorian date of every term. Dates are computed from the length of the tropical year applied to a well-known reference epoch, which reproduces the official calendar to the correct day across the whole supported range.
Each term is shown with both its traditional Chinese name and a plain English translation, listed in seasonal order starting from Minor Cold. All arithmetic runs locally in your browser and nothing is uploaded. The supported range is 1901 to 2099, where the day-level accuracy of the approximation holds.
